Only 4 ingredients. I prep it when I want dinner ready hours in advance.

Step 1: Prep Oven & Dish
Preheat oven to 350°F. Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or cooking spray.

Step 2: Season the Chicken
Pat chicken dry to help seasoning stick. Trim excess fat, season both sides with salt and pepper, and place in a single layer in the baking dish.

Step 3: Layer the Cheese
Place 2 slices of Swiss cheese on each chicken breast, slightly overlapping to cover completely.

Step 4: Make the Sauce
In a medium bowl, whisk together the cream of chicken soup and sour cream until smooth. Spread this mixture evenly over the cheese.

Step 5: Bake in Two Stages
Cover tightly with foil and bake 25 minutes. Remove foil and bake another 20–25 minutes, until the chicken reaches 165°F and the sauce is bubbly and golden.

Step 6: Rest Before Serving
Let the dish rest 5–10 minutes to allow the juices to settle and the sauce to thicken for perfect spooning over your sides.
