  • Add 1 cup of water to the blender, along with sugar and the juice of 1 lemon if you’re using it. The lemon juice adds a lovely brightness to the flavor!
  • Blend the mixture on high speed until the blueberries are completely pureed, resulting in a smooth, rich liquid.
  • Next, strain the blended mixture through a fine mesh sieve or cheesecloth into a large pitcher. This will help separate the luscious juice from the pulp.
  • Press down on the solids with a spoon to extract as much juice as possible — don’t be shy, the more juice the better!
  • Taste your freshly extracted juice and adjust the sweetness as desired, adding more sugar if preferred. Stir well until the sugar dissolves.
  • To enhance the flavor further, chill the blueberry juice in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes before serving. This will make each sip wonderfully refreshing.
  • When you’re ready to serve, pour the juice over ice cubes and don’t forget to garnish with fresh mint leaves for that extra pop of color and flavor!

    Feel free to experiment with the sweetness of your blueberry juice. Depending on the natural sweetness of the berries, you may find you need less or more sugar. Additionally, if you prefer a lighter beverage, consider adding more water to the mix!
