Steak & Scallops Dinner

 

 

Instructions:

1. Pat dry the steaks and scallops — moisture prevents a good sear. Season generously with salt and black pepper.
2. Heat a cast iron skillet over high heat. Add olive oil.
3. Sear the steaks for about 3–4 minutes per side (depending on thickness). Add 2 tbsp butter, garlic, and herbs. Spoon the melted butter over the steaks to baste. Remove and rest.
4. In the same skillet, add 1 tbsp butter and sear scallops for about 1½–2 minutes per side until golden brown and opaque in the center.
5. Serve together, drizzle with garlic butter from the pan, and finish with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice.
Perfect pairing: creamy mashed potatoes or roasted asparagus on the side 🍽️
