Steak Dinner Plate: Baked Potato + Garden Salad

1️⃣ Bake the Potatoes
Heat oven to 425°F. Scrub potatoes, poke a few holes, rub with oil, sprinkle with salt, and bake 50–60 minutes until fluffy inside and crisp outside—easy dinner at home magic.
2️⃣ Season the Steak
Pat steak dry and season generously with salt and pepper (and garlic powder if using). Let it sit 10 minutes so it cooks evenly.
3️⃣ Sear for a Good Crust
Heat a skillet until really hot, add oil, then sear steak 3–5 minutes per side (depending on thickness). Add butter and spoon it over the steak for the last minute for that restaurant-style steak vibe.

4️⃣ Rest & Slice
Rest steak 5–10 minutes before slicing. This keeps it juicy instead of letting all the goodness run out.
5️⃣ Load & Toss
Split potatoes, add butter and sour cream, then season. Toss your salad, drizzle dressing, and plate everything up like a steakhouse dinner without the bill.
