Step 1: Warm the Water
Heat water until it’s warm but not boiling. Hot water can destroy some of the beneficial compounds in ACV and honey.
Step 2: Combine
In a mug or glass, combine:
-
Warm water
-
Apple cider vinegar
-
Fresh lemon juice
-
Honey (if using)
-
Any optional add-ins
Step 3: Stir
Stir well until honey is dissolved.
Step 4: Sip Slowly
Drink slowly through a straw to protect tooth enamel. Sip, don’t gulp.
Step 5: Wait
Wait at least 20-30 minutes before eating breakfast to allow the tonic to work.
The Best Time to Drink
First thing in the morning, on an empty stomach. This allows the ACV to support digestion and blood sugar balance before you introduce food.
Consistency matters. Like any wellness practice, regular use yields the best results. Try it daily for 2-4 weeks to notice effects.
What Science Says
Digestive Support
The acetic acid in ACV may help stimulate digestive enzymes and stomach acid, potentially improving digestion. Some studies suggest it can help with bloating and indigestion.
Blood Sugar Balance
Research shows that apple cider vinegar can help improve insulin sensitivity and lower blood sugar spikes after meals, especially when consumed before eating.
Antioxidant Properties
ACV contains polyphenols and antioxidants that help fight oxidative stress and support overall health.
