Last Tuesday, a seemingly ordinary food delivery took an unexpected turn. Our regular delivery guy, Ravi, arrived acting unusually tense. He handed over the food without his usual friendly banter and quickly left. A cryptic note on the delivery bag read, “CHECK YOUR TRASH CAN.”
Intrigued and alarmed, I rushed to the backyard. Hidden within the trash, I discovered a disturbing collection of tools and a dangerous chemical often used to weaken locks. It was clear that someone had targeted our home for a break-in.
Fear gripped me as I realized the potential danger to my family. I immediately contacted the local authorities, and the police arrived promptly to investigate.
After a thorough examination of the evidence, it was confirmed that our home was indeed on the list of potential targets for a series of break-ins plaguing the neighborhood. The culprit, however, remains elusive.
